Acne | Oily
Our approach to acne-prone skin is to simplify your skin care routine. There is no one-size-fits-all acne treatment because the causes of acne can be wide-ranging and difficult to pinpoint. We believe in simple, effective products that serve as the foundation of your skin care routine and also work well with other products or treatments.
We suggest our Rose Clay and Geranium, Lavender Poppy, or Rosemary Tea Tree bar soap for oily/acne prone skin.
Our Mini Skin Care Kit includes travel-sized versions of our three-step skincare routine. These simple and effective steps cleanse, balance, and hydrate your skin, and the benefits of the products used in these steps are included below. This kit should last you 2-3 months with daily use.
STEP ONE: Our Chamomile and Clay Face Soap balances and cleanses without over-stripping face oils that are necessary for healthy skin. A cleanser that uses sulfates or other harsh ingredients can over-strip oils from your skin, leading to a disruption in your skin's acid mantel which can leave your skin more vulnerable to breakout-causing bacteria. The acid mantel is composed of a thin layer of sebum (oil your skin produces), sweat, and dead skin cells, all of which protect the skin from bacteria, environmental pollutants, and dehydration.
STEP TWO: Our gentle rosewater-based toner preps the skin for moisturizer by adjusting the pH levels of the skin. Rosewater is naturally anti-inflammatory and ideal for common skin conditions like rosacea and eczema. Our formulation concentrates on being effective, gentle, and hydrating.
STEP THREE: Our nutrient dense moisturizer is light, easy to layer, and only made with ingredients that directly benefit your skin. Rich in antioxidants and omega fatty acids, this moisturizer is packed with ingredients that help repair and mitigate long-term skin damage. These ingredients are paired with noncomedogenic (won't clog pores) and deeply-hydrating butters to give skin a healthy, moisturized glow.
Lastly, our Dead Sea Clay Face Mask is high in mineral content and can help control excess oil production. When activated with water, clay draws out impurities as well as absorbs excess oils that are on the surface of the skin. This will lead to less inflamed skin with less breakouts.
